Formed by members of Wolves! (of Greece) and Twinkie in 2003, Lords belong to a new school of bands that ignore the old rock rulebook. 2. from "Change We Can Believe In" (Fervor Records) 3. from "Skool Kids Make More Money Than Us" (SPAT! Adam Barnes & Aidan Blenkinsopp play guitar and handle vocal duties along with Simon Curd, who also plays bass. James Housley plays drums. 5. from "War Elephant" (Partisan Records) 6. from "Famous Class - Children of the Goo" (Famous Class Records) Famous Class Sampler: Children of the Goo
featuring new songs from Snakes Say Hisss!, Boogie Boarder, and Darlings 7. from "Old Ugly and Loud" (Ionik Recordings) The Wolverton Brothers are another band from Cincinnati that deserve way more attention than they've been given over the last 15 years. They were born and raised in the same scene that gave us the Afghan Whigs. They released a 7" early on in the original Sub Pop singles club and several more scattered throughout the 90's. Early on they were primarily a guitar/bass/drum outfit with a little twang, but over the years they have become much more open and experimental with their sound. Comments[0] |
